Cleaning out a clogged and dangerous dryer vent helps prevent fires and extends the life of the dryer!

Dryer vents can be very long, and have angles and bends which catch lint and create lint clogs.

A clogged dryer vent can be dangerous and restrict air flow in the vent. If the blockage gets bad enough it can cause your dryer to overheat and spark the heating element which can then catch the highly flammable lint on fire!

Common Signs of a Backed Up Dryer Vent:
1. Your clothes are taking longer to dry.
2. You notice a burning smell when the dryer is running.
3. Your clothes are hot and the outside of the dryer is very hot as well.
4. You receive a dryer vent code d80, d90, or d95. These codes are stating your dryer vent is 80%, 90%, or 95% clogged.
5. The vent hood does not open as it’s designed to do. An outside vent that doesn’t open when the dryer is running means lint is restricting the air flow.
6. Lint is visible on the outside vent.
7. It’s been longer than a year since your last inspection.
